Our aim is to bring Jesus into our everyday lives. Sundays are special, offering corporate fellowship where we immerse in the Word, engage in prayer, worship, communion, and baptisms, and collectively experience God's presence. TC Connect, in contrast, is a more informal and relaxed setting, open to everyone. It's a space where we live out the Word together. It's often said that while we may do church in rows, we truly experience community in circles.
What is the structure of tc connect?
Our gatherings at TC Connect are organic, inviting everyone to contribute to the exploration of the Word. It's a space where individual gifts are recognized, allowing us to truly know and appreciate each member of our community. Neighbors often find these gatherings more approachable than a traditional church setting. TC Connect is ideal for discipleship, fostering a spirit of unity rather than debate. Whether we meet in a coffee shop, a park, or around a living room table, our focus remains on coming together in fellowship through the Word.
how often to the groups meet?
Many wonder about the frequency of our gatherings. We recommend meeting at least once a month, though some may desire more frequent gatherings. It's important to take breaks, especially during the summer months, for at least a month or two. Consistency is key, so we advise setting a regular meeting time and keeping each gathering to no more than an hour and a half.
where do the groups in tc connect meet?
Our meetings, whether in a home or a park, extend beyond the four walls of the church. The early church often gathered in homes, as many didn't own their own and there were no established church buildings. They met in places like Solomon’s Porch, a hub for believers, as well as from house to house. These gatherings were filled with laughter, tears, sharing, and support through both joyous and challenging times, always rooted in God’s word.
Are resources provided for tc connect groups?
We provide resources and at times key points from our in-house messages. These serve as excellent discussion starters and help maintain a sense of unity between TC and the various TC Connects.
who are the hosts of tc connect?
Each host is a member of TC and known to leadership. Our hosts participate in a training session to familiarize themselves with the nuances of leading a TC Connect group. This session provides essential information and knowledge. There's no pressure on hosts to lead, their role is to encourage and facilitate participation.
who's responsible for discipling?
TC takes responsibility for preparing the community to disciple one another, as outlined in Ephesians 4:12-13. This is where true Christ-like growth occurs, with believers actively engaging in ministry. Our focus on each one reaching one is integral to embedding the concept of "the Priesthood of the believer" into the TC culture.
"And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not "cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus." Acts 5:42 (ESV)
